白襪王牌賽爾(Chris Sale)9日大方「出售」三振，面對太空人主投8局狂飆14K，助隊3比1獲勝，個人收下3連勝。太空人頂級新秀柯瑞亞(Carlos Correa)大聯盟處女秀，靠著教練提出挑戰即時重播，拚出生涯首安首打點。
賽爾此役上演三振秀，先發8局狂飆14次三振，僅被敲5安打失1分，本季第6勝順利入袋，這1勝也讓他達成生涯第50勝的里程碑；本季目前出賽10場，賽爾其中7場繳出優質先發，近3場不但皆拿下勝投，每場更是至少送出12次三振，同時連續4場出賽都投出至少10K，也成為白襪隊史首位有次表現的投手。
「我沒有注重在飆三振，」賽爾說，「我只是每一天站在場上，盡力做好我的工作，好就好，不好就不好，就是走上投手丘把我所擁有的發揮出來。」
太空人輸球後苦吞5連敗，打線本場彷彿變成「人體電風扇」，不斷揮到空氣，其中5人吞下至少2K，只有開路先鋒史普林格(George Springer)幸免於難。
被認為是以A-Rod(Alex Rodriguez)當模板的柯瑞亞，8日被拉上大聯盟，今日初登板，先發鎮守游擊打第六棒，四局上2出局二、三壘有人局面，他擊出內野滾地球後奮力衝向一壘，第一時間被判刺殺出局，但太空人總教練希區(AJ Hinch)隨即提出挑戰，經過即時重播判定安全上壘，首安首打點一次入手。
年僅20歲的柯瑞亞，是2012年太空人第一指名選進，同時也是波多黎各史上首位選秀狀元， 本季初在2A、3A遊走，繳出打擊率3成35，10轟18盜壘的優異成績，是名難得一見的游擊自走砲。
